As Senior Creative Producer at the animated video marketing agency Explainly for nearly 5 years, I have driven impact by writing, art directing, storyboarding, and leading countless video projects for fantastic and happy clients. My several hundred 2D, 3D, mixed media, and live action videos have played a part in many successful and award-winning ad campaigns. From local startups to global Fortune 500s, my aim is always to tell an engaging story, to keep strategy a consistent key priority, and to convey a genuine message that any viewer can resonate with.
I thrive in leading cross-functional teams, providing guidance throughout the entire production cycle to ensure high-quality, timely, and on-brand deliverables. My technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, combined with my flexibility in making in-house edits enables me to maintain a sharp focus on efficiency and quality. I also play an integral role in shaping brand identity and managing the digital presence of Explainly, while refining workflows and overseeing vendor relations to optimize project outcomes.
Every project begins with initial ideation and mockup sketches, through revision rounds, all the way to final digital assets, and in some cases, print-ready designs. From trade show booth designs to socials, to refreshing the entire website, brand, and ad strategy, the following marketing materials I've created have defined and standardized many aspects of Explainly's online presence.
Explainly Website | Complete Redesign & DIRECTED development

I individually lead the complete re-creation of a new Explainly website. Wrote, sketched, and created digital mockups of all new webpages, and lead 1 co-designer and 3 web developers to bring the idea to fruition over an expedited 6 month period, followed by mobile optimization, continued bug identification and troubleshooting, and the creation of countless more Google SEO landing pages. In tandem, I translated this new look and feel to Explainly's sales, proposal, and process slide decks.
My concept, direction, and overall approach to our key video portfolio page with the utilization of a custom embedded Wistia gallery led to a 17% increase in leads and a 116% boost in sales conversions.
To complete the brand refresh, I hired and directed a team photoshoot that yielded colorful, breezy new headshots and group pictures to embed throughout the new website. The company's lead quantity, quality, and overall positive brand perception increased drastically since the website's launch.
Explainly Showreel Animated Intro | SKETCHES, ART DIRECTION, PRODUCTION
To quickly show off Explainly's range of production capabilities in a variety of mediums, I ideated and directed this short introduction to the studio's 2025 showreel. Created in collaboration with vendor animators, this short but impactful introductory scene immediately demonstrates 2D animation and 3D animation, as well as homey, urban, and natural environments.
My initial rough concept sketches:
Explainly Logo Animation | SKETCHES, ART DIRECTION, PRODUCTION
With simple nods to video players and a dynamic play-button, transforming into the Explainly logo, this outro logo animation is now used at the end of all Explainly videos, and unifies all of the company's videos with it's new modern brand look and feel. I used my rough hand-drawn animated references (upper) to direct vendor artists to produce the final logo animation (lower) in multiple aspect ratios.
New Explainly Website Lottie Animations | SKETCHES, ART DIRECTION, PRODUCTION

To compliment my new Explainly website design, I lead the composition, direction, revisions, and production of 10 custom LottieFiles live embedded vector animations, which were illustrated and animated in coordination with a partner animation studio. My initial rough sketches (left) combined with my direction led to illustrated exploratory style frames (center) and final animations (right).
New Explainly Brand Identity | SKETCHES & ALL ART DIRECTION

After several years of creating both digital and print marketing materials for Explainly– including social posts, display ad animations, digital billboard graphics, email newsletters, project pitches, proposal decks, video card packaging, direct mailers, shirts, hats, business cards, and trade show informational pamphlets that increased leads and boosted sales conversations– it was time for a refresh.
I felt that the brand color palette was a bit too dominated by plain white and jet black, and that the brand font looked a bit too detailed, complicated, and outdated. I explored many fonts, colors, and even secondary iconography of an Explainly Parrot to show off our bright colors, which I primarily used on brand social pages.
Not only did I pivot the plain white throughout our website and marketing mix to a sharper off-black, I also cleaned up countless layer and vertex errors in the official Explainly logo Adobe Illustrator file and created a standard color palette with strict hex code hues. My new and improved branding and file organization made Explainly's colors, logo lockup images, and logo outro videos in all our commonly used aspect ratios extremely accessible for company-wide use.
Selected a new font, and created a logo lockup and a new standardized color palette to modernize and refresh the brand while still using the pre-existing logo-mark.
Solo designed countless print materials including business cards and informational pamphlet handouts for physical use at trade shows.
New Hasbro Furby Ad | Explainly PITCH Storyboard

I wrote, storyboarded, and verbally pitched this new Furby concept storyboard to Hasbro, as Senior Creative Producer & Designer at Explainly. When my team and I saw Hasbro was accepting pitched for a bold, colorful, fast-paced product spotlight, we were beyond excited to jump on the opportunity. This project's goal was to feature a variety of children in dynamic, location-neutral sets, bursting with personality and dancing with Furby!
The ad opens with a dramatic Furby reveal, then quickly turning the camera to a girl’s amazed reaction. The bold new logo is spotlit right away, followed by scenes of kids dancing, playing games, and exploring DJ Furby’s standout features.
From a glowing pillow fort dance party to a surprise rainbow fur jacket, I leaned into magical moments that highlight creativity and play. The spot ends with a joyful hug and a smiling parent, affirming DJ Furby as more than a toy—it’s an experience.
Client Style Frame Concepts for Priority RFQs | SKETCHES & DIRECTED ARTISTS
Out of the variety of concept mockups and photo-bash edits I've designed for potential clients at Explainly, Crystal Geyser was one of my more thorough undertakings that successfully won us this project.
I ideated, sketched, Photoshop edited, and After Effects animated these rough motion graphic storyboards and photo collages for Crystal Geyser. Their initial request was to show 5 new crisp, sparkling water flavors with a clean, authentic promo focusing on the bottle as the hero and the flavors as the co-stars.
So, I focused my compositions on the product moving and splashing in imaginative ways, with a grounding use case moment in the outro.
I also used animated bold graphic overlays over test footage to create a quick-cuts style live action piece, for a real-world option.
Both concepts had to feel elevated, while still keeping socials in mind for the video to work when watched with the sound off. This led to both samples displaying clear typography and simple, brand-forward visuals. The subsequent video my team produced for Crystal Geyser was just as dynamic and refreshing as my original concepts!

Explainly Trade Show Booth & Video Business Cards | ORIGINAL DESIGNS

I individually designed a variety of trade show booth graphics, signage, and video card packaging print assets for both Explainly and clients of Explainly over the course of several years. These few examples all aim to pop, grab attention, and clearly convey the most important pieces of each brand's messaging, resulting in many engaged trade show booth visitors and merch recipients!
Ad Campaign Storyboard Shot List | Explainly LIVE ACTION STORYBOARD

On an extremely limited timeline, I sketched out these rough storyboards in Storyboard Pro to aid in the creation of 3 live action internal marketing pieces at Explainly. Each shot had to bear in mind cropping for multiple social aspect ratios. On the day of the film shoot, the on-set crew in LA referred to my board for framing and direction of all actions. | Read more about the production process here.
